January 11, 2026: Bihar’s Alinagar MLA and popular folk singer Maithili Thakur has taken to the streets of Mumbai to campaign for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections. During her outreach, she confidently declared that the next BMC mayor would be from the Mahayuti alliance, signalling the coalition’s ambitions in the crucial civic polls.
