Manoj Bajpayee Reacts to SC Order On Stray Dogs

Actor Manoj Bajpayee joins the fight, saying that “fear should not decide” the fate of stray dogs after the Supreme Court’s decision causes a lot of controversy.

Mumbai, August 18: Actor Manoj Bajpayee has joined the debate over the Supreme Court’s recent decision on stray dogs, which has caused a lot of anger in the country. He has made a strong and measured call for empathy. Many of Bajpayee’s Bollywood co-stars have spoken out against the decision, but his thoughtful view has struck a chord with many people, encapsulating the complicated feelings at the heart of this issue.

Animal lovers and rights groups all throughout India are quite angry about the verdict, which says that stray dogs can’t be in public places and that animals who are caught can’t be let go. Celebrities like Adah Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Raveena Tandon have also spoken out strongly about this issue.

But Bajpayee’s post on his Instagram Stories gave everyone a much-needed middle ground. He noted beautifully that “these animals didn’t choose the streets and deserve compassion,” but people also “deserve to feel safe.” He said that “empathy” was the best way to move forward and that “fear should not decide their fate.” This message gets to the heart of the issue by recognizing both the animals’ suffering and the public’s reasonable concerns.

After the protests around the country, the Supreme Court’s three-judge bench has put off making a decision on petitions asking for a stay on the directive. It has promised to make a temporary decision after considering all the reasons. Tushar Mehta, the Solicitor General for the Delhi government, made the problem quite clear by saying that a “loud vocal minority” was against the decision and a “silent suffering majority” was in favor of it. He showed scary numbers from the World Health Organization, saying that in 2024 there would be millions of dog bites and hundreds of deaths from rabies. He stressed that the goal is not to hurt the animals but to keep people safe.

Manoj Bajpayee’s involvement in the debate shows that this is more than simply a legal matter. It is a very emotive issue that makes us think about our responsibility to each other and to the animals that live with us. His plea for empathy is a strong reminder that to find a solution, you need to understand and accept both sides of the story.
