Massive Fire Erupts At Delhi Toy Factory

Blaze in Daya Basti industrial unit contained; no casualties reported

February 21, 2026: A major fire broke out at a five-storey toy factory in the Daya Basti Industrial Area near Sarai Rohilla in Delhi, triggering panic in the densely packed manufacturing hub. Thick plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the upper floors as flames rapidly spread through the building, raising concerns about heavy material losses.

Fire officials rushed at least ten fire tenders to the spot and worked for several hours to control the blaze. Authorities later confirmed that the fire had been contained and that no casualties or injuries were reported. The area was cordoned off as a precaution, with local residents and workers gathering outside while emergency operations continued.

While no loss of life has been reported, significant damage to goods and factory infrastructure is suspected. Officials are currently assessing the structural safety of the building and estimating financial losses. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation as cooling operations continue.
