Meerut Drum Murder Shocker: Muskan Rastogi Pregnant With Lover’s Child Confirms Jail Tests

Muskan Rastogi, arrested for brutally killing her Merchant Navy husband with lover Sahil Shukla, is confirmed pregnant in jail. Chilling details of sedatives, stabbing, and a body sealed in cement emerge.

April 7, 2025: In a crime that has stunned the nation, Muskan Rastogi, 27, and her lover Sahil Shukla, 25, were arrested for the gruesome murder of Muskan’s husband, Saurabh Rajput, a 29-year-old Merchant Navy officer. The horrifying act included sedating, stabbing, dismembering, and then sealing Saurabh’s body inside a cement-filled plastic drum, hidden within their rented home in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

Saurabh and Muskan had a love marriage in 2016. He quit his Navy job to spend more time with her, a decision that strained ties with his family. They welcomed a daughter in 2019. But happiness turned to betrayal as Saurabh discovered Muskan’s affair with his friend Sahil.

On March 4, 2025, Muskan allegedly drugged Saurabh’s food, making him unconscious. Sahil was then called in. The couple stabbed Saurabh in the chest and slit his throat before dismembering him. They placed the remains in a drum and sealed it with cement to hide the crime.

To mislead others, Muskan told neighbors that Saurabh had gone on a trip. She and Sahil then travelled to Manali, using Saurabh’s phone to post fake travel updates on social media. However, suspicions rose when Saurabh’s family couldn’t reach him, prompting a missing person’s complaint.

When the police questioned Muskan and Sahil, they confessed. They were sent to Chaudhary Charan Singh Jail, where Muskan was recently confirmed pregnant through a medical test. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ashok Kataria verified the pregnancy following a formal jail request.

Further investigations revealed that Muskan and Sahil had been planning the murder for weeks. Muskan’s father, Pramod Rastogi, said Sahil introduced her to drugs. “She told me she couldn’t live without them,” he told India Today, expressing anguish and insisting that Muskan must face justice.

Now, as the legal case moves forward, questions remain about the welfare of their daughter, the implications of Muskan’s pregnancy, and whether justice will be served for Saurabh Rajput’s brutal murder.
