Wife Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla arrested for the brutal murder and dismemberment of London-based Saurabh Rajput; investigation reveals premeditated plan involving drugging, razors, and cement.

March 25, 2025: In a horrifying case that has gripped Meerut and shocked the nation, new revelations have surfaced in the murder of 38-year-old Saurabh Rajput, whose body was found chopped into 15 pieces and sealed in a plastic drum under a layer of wet cement.

The investigation has revealed that Muskaan Rastogi, Saurabh’s wife, along with her lover Sahil Shukla, not only plotted the murder in advance but also practiced stabbing techniques and bought weapons—a pair of knives and a cut-throat razor—eight days before committing the crime.

Saurabh, who worked in London, had returned to India to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. He intended to take his wife and daughter back with him to the UK, but Muskaan refused, reportedly wanting to stay back with Sahil. When Saurabh insisted on taking his daughter alone, applying for her passport, Muskaan and Sahil allegedly decided to eliminate him.

🔪 The Chilling Night

On the night of March 3, Muskaan is said to have drugged Saurabh with sleeping pills. Once he passed out, she stabbed him thrice and then used a razor to slit his throat. Sahil reportedly took over the gruesome task of decapitating the body. The couple then dismembered the body into 15 parts and planned to bury it under a sapling in a drum—but later changed their plan and poured cement over the remains to avoid the stench.

Their plan hit a roadblock when the cement-filled drum became too heavy to move, even with hired labourers. Fearing discovery, Muskaan confessed to her parents, who took her to the police.

The motive, police believe, lies in the couple’s drug addiction, fear of being caught, and Muskaan’s refusal to leave Sahil. Saurabh had suspected the affair and was reportedly considering divorce but stayed back for his daughter’s sake.

The case has raised pressing questions about mental health, drug abuse, domestic violence, and custodial child protection.
