Class 12 boy’s death raises questions as he kept leaving home after exams
March 17, 2026: A Class 12 student, identified as Yash Sunil Jhade, was found dead inside a mall complex in Nagpur, triggering shock and concern. A resident of Jawahar Nagar in Maanewada, Yash had reportedly been leaving home daily even after his board exams had ended, telling his family he was going to appear for exams. Police have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation into the incident.
The situation came to light when Yash failed to return home late at night, prompting his family to file a missing complaint at Hudkeshwar Police Station. Around the same time, news emerged of a death at Empress Mall, leaving the family devastated.
Police from Ganesh Peth Police Station are now probing the case to determine the exact cause of death. Officials say it remains unclear why the student continued to leave home under the pretext of exams or what pressures he may have been facing. Authorities are questioning family members and friends as part of the ongoing investigation.
