June 4, 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key and OMR sheets for the NEET NTA UG 2025 exam, which was held on May 4 and taken by over 20 lakh candidates across India. Candidates can now raise objections to the answer key until June 5. Once the objection window closes, NTA will review the challenges and release the final answer key along with the results.

According to the official schedule, the NEET UG 2025 results are expected to be declared by June 14, 2025. However, pending court cases, including demands for a re-test at Indore and Ujjain centres in Madhya Pradesh High Court, could potentially affect the timeline.

How to Check NEET UG 2025 Result:

  1. Visit the official NEET websites at neet.nta.nic.in or exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
  2. Click on the ‘NEET NTA UG 2025 Result’ link on the homepage.
  3. Enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and Security Pin.
  4. View your result and merit list on the screen.
  5. Download and print the scorecard for future reference.

NEET NTA UG 2025 Cut-off and Marking Scheme:

The cut-off marks will be based on the percentile system and are expected to be slightly lower this year, considering the exam’s difficulty level. The exam carries a total of 720 marks, with 4 marks awarded for each correct answer and a deduction of 1 mark for every wrong attempt.

Next Steps:

Following the declaration of results, counseling for admissions will begin in July 2025. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will manage the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while individual state governments will conduct counseling for the remaining 85% state quota seats.
