July 7, 2025: In the middle of serious allegations of irregularities in the entrance exam scores for BEd, MEd, and BHEd courses for the academic session 2025-26, the State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha has stepped up to bring more transparency to the process.
Last week, the Department of Higher Education (DHE), Odisha, suspended the admission process for the two-year BEd (Arts/Science), MEd, and BHEd courses under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS). The move came after several aspirants and education activists raised concerns about possible discrepancies in the entrance examination results.
In response to these allegations, the DHE had instructed the SSB to set up subject-wise expert panels to thoroughly verify the answer keys. Acting on this direction, the SSB has now announced that it will release provisional answer keys for all candidates who appeared for these exams. This step is being taken to ensure complete transparency and to give candidates a fair chance to cross-check their responses.
The provisional answer keys will be uploaded on the SSB’s official website – https://ssbodisha.ac.in – on July 7, 2025. Candidates who find any issues with the provided answers will be allowed to submit objections from July 8 to July 10, 2025.
However, candidates should note that a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question will be charged for raising objections. This means if you want to challenge more than one question, you’ll need to pay separately for each.
This move is being widely seen as a positive step by the authorities to restore trust in the entrance exam process and ensure that all aspirants get a fair opportunity in admissions.
