Operation Sindoor: India Strikes Nine Terror Targets in Pakistan and PoJK with Precision

Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force launch, Operation Sindoor, coordinated strikes on terror hubs in retaliation for the Pahalgam attack; PM Modi monitored the mission in real-time.

New Delhi, May 7:
In a bold and coordinated military action, the Indian Armed Forces struck nine key terrorist locations — four in Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot, and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The operation, codenamed Operation Sindoor, was executed with high-precision munitions and involved all three services: the Army, Navy, and Air Force, according to defence sources.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was closely monitoring the operation throughout the night, indicating its strategic and national significance. Sources confirmed that all designated targets were successfully neutralized.

The strikes specifically targeted high-ranking leaders and infrastructure associated with terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), known for orchestrating cross-border attacks in India.

In a statement, the Ministry of Defence emphasized the targeted and restrained nature of the operation. “No Pakistani military facilities were attacked. Our actions were focused, measured, and non-escalatory,” the ministry said, reinforcing India’s intent to avoid broader conflict.

The precision strikes were in direct retaliation for the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national. Intelligence agencies provided real-time data, and all weapons were launched from Indian territory using advanced loitering munitions and special strike systems.

However, the situation escalated further when Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement just hours after the strikes. Artillery shelling was reported in the Bhimber Gali sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri-Poonch area.

The Indian Army responded with “calibrated and appropriate force,” the Additional Directorate General of Public Information stated on social media platform X.

As tensions simmer at the border, India’s operation sends a strong message of zero tolerance toward terrorism while underlining the country’s strategic restraint and operational readiness.
