Pakistan Alleges Imminent Indian Military Action Within 36 Hours, Warns of Regional Fallout
April 30, 2025: Pakistan Warns of Indian Military Action Within 36 Hours, Offers Neutral Probe into Pahalgam Attack
Islamabad has issued a serious warning, claiming that India is preparing to launch military action within the next 24 to 36 hours in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives. Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar cited “credible intelligence” suggesting that Indian forces were poised to act imminently.
Tarar strongly objected to what he called India’s role as “judge, jury, and executioner” over “baseless and concocted allegations” of Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam attack. He reiterated that Pakistan itself has been a victim of terrorism and proposed a “credible, transparent, and independent investigation” led by a neutral commission of international experts.

Warning of “catastrophic” consequences if India proceeds with military strikes, Tarar said, “Any escalation and its consequences will lie squarely with India.” He also urged the international community to stay alert to the unfolding crisis in the region.

The statement comes just hours after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told top defence officials that India’s armed forces have been granted “complete operational freedom” to choose the time, method, and targets for a response to the Pahalgam killings. PM Modi had earlier vowed to track down and punish the perpetrators “to the ends of the earth.”
The diplomatic and military escalation has deepened since India implemented a series of retaliatory actions:
Meanwhile, ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) continued for the sixth consecutive day, with India retaliating to unprovoked firing from Pakistani posts.
With rising tensions and global concerns over regional stability, the next few days could prove critical in determining whether diplomacy or escalation takes center stage.
