“Pakistan Not Half An Hour, But Half A Century Behind India”: Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Islamabad After Pahalgam Attack

Addressing a public meeting, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi calls Pakistan a “terror factory” and urges PM Modi to take stronger action against it.

April 28, 2025: Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi launched a scathing attack on Pakistan during a public rally in Prabhani, Maharashtra, declaring that “Pakistan is not just half an hour but half a century behind India.”

Speaking at the meeting organized to protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Act, Owaisi slammed Pakistan over the recent Pahalgam terror attack and mocked Pakistani leaders’ repeated threats. “Your entire national budget isn’t even equal to India’s military budget,” he said. “You brag about nuclear bombs, but if you kill innocent civilians in another country, no one will stay silent.”

Owaisi accused Pakistan of training terrorists for decades to destabilize India and said the Pahalgam attack, where terrorists asked for the religion of tourists before shooting them, mirrors the brutality of ISIS. “You are worse than the Khawarij. This barbarity proves you are the successors of ISIS,” he said.

He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take decisive steps to economically weaken Pakistan, including enforcing a blockade of its airspace and targeting its internet infrastructure through ethical hacking, which he claimed was permissible under international law.

Owaisi also made an emotional appeal against targeting Kashmiri civilians. “Kashmir is an integral part of India, and so are Kashmiris. How can we suspect them?” he said, highlighting the heroism of Kashmiris during the terror attack — one carrying an injured child on his back for 40 minutes to save a life, and another sacrificing his own life fighting terrorists.

Turning to domestic politics, Owaisi criticized leaders like Ajit Pawar, Nitish Kumar, Jayant Chaudhary, and Chandrababu Naidu for supporting the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. He warned that secular-minded Indians and Muslims will not forgive them, accusing Nitish Kumar of “back-stabbing” once again and warning Naidu that he had endangered his son’s political future.

Owaisi also urged people to join the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s protest programme, including the ‘Batti Gul’ movement on April 30, where citizens are encouraged to switch off their lights in protest.
