Pakistani Pilgrims Join Maha Kumbh 2025, Express Gratitude to Indian Government

Devotees praise swift visa approval and seamless arrangements at the grand spiritual event

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), February 7: A group of Pakistani pilgrims has arrived in Prayagraj to participate in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, expressing gratitude to the Indian government for granting them swift visa approvals. The pilgrims, overwhelmed by the arrangements, praised the hospitality and spiritual atmosphere at the grand religious gathering.

Pakistani Pilgrims Laud Indian Hospitality

The devotees shared their experiences while visiting various camps and interacting with spiritual leaders at the Mela.

Govind Ram Makhija, one of the pilgrims, expressed his joy and appreciation, saying,
“We are here and we are very happy. It is very well organized, and we have been very well served. We never even imagined that it could happen.”

Ishwar Lal Makhija acknowledged the support provided to them throughout their journey, adding,
“We are thankful to the Indian government, which has made excellent arrangements for us, right from the station to the camps.”

Priyanka, a first-time visitor from Pakistan, shared her emotional connection with India, saying,
“It feels great. It feels like we are very close to our culture here. Everything here feels like we belong—our worship, our religious places—everything we see feels very good.”

Another devotee, Kavita, expressed deep gratitude, saying,
“We consider ourselves very fortunate. We are excited to learn more about our religion here. We are very thankful to the Indian Government. They gave us a 25-day visa in just three days.”

Maha Kumbh 2025: A Historic Spiritual Gathering

The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025) and will continue until Mahashivratri (February 26). It is regarded as the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, drawing millions of devotees and spiritual seekers from across the globe.

As of February 5, 2025, official figures indicate that the total number of devotees who have taken a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers has surpassed 389.7 million, marking an unprecedented turnout.

The Indian government has received widespread praise for the seamless arrangements, ensuring that visitors from various countries, including Pakistan, can experience the spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
