Weather Alerts and Forecast

The Meteorological Department predicts continued snowfall and rainfall in mid and high-altitude areas through Tuesday. Snow and rain are expected across Lahaul and Spiti, Chamba, Kinnaur, Kangra, Shimla, and Kullu districts, with light precipitation in Solan, Sirmaur, Una, Bilaspur, Mandi, and Hamirpur.

The weather office also forecasts temperatures dropping further by 3-4°C in the coming days. A “yellow” warning for dense fog has been issued for Bhakra Dam Reservoir (Bilaspur) and Balh Valley (Mandi) until Wednesday, signaling reduced visibility.

Travel Advisory

With icy roads, freezing temperatures, and chances of snowfall, travelers planning road trips to Himachal Pradesh are advised to exercise caution. Ensure vehicles are well-equipped for winter driving conditions and check weather forecasts before embarking on the journey.
