
PM Modi Begins Two-Day Malaysia Visit
Talks with PM Anwar Ibrahim to focus on trade, defence and Indo-Pacific cooperation
February 7, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday began his two-day official visit to Malaysia at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. This marks PM Modi’s third visit to the Southeast Asian nation and is being seen as a key step in further strengthening India–Malaysia bilateral relations amid evolving regional and global dynamics.
During the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold high-level discussions with Malaysian leadership, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, defence ties, regional security and people-to-people exchanges.
