PM Modi Meets Macron, US Vice President JD Vance at Paris AI Summit

The Indian Prime Minister attended a welcome dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and US Vice President JD Vance ahead of co-chairing the AI Summit in Paris.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met French President Emmanuel Macron at a welcome dinner in Paris ahead of co-chairing the AI Summit. The leaders exchanged warm greetings, with Macron welcoming Modi with a hug.

“Delighted to meet my friend, President Macron in Paris,” PM Modi shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.

During the dinner, PM Modi also interacted with US Vice President JD Vance, who is in France to attend the AI Summit. The Prime Minister’s Office later posted, “PM @narendramodi interacts with President @EmmanuelMacron and USA @VP @JDVance in Paris.”

Earlier in the day, PM Modi arrived in Paris for the first leg of his two-nation tour, which will later take him to the United States. Upon arrival, he received a grand welcome from the Indian diaspora.

“A memorable welcome in Paris! The cold weather didn’t deter the Indian community from showing their affection this evening. Grateful to our diaspora and proud of them for their accomplishments,” PM Modi wrote.

Agenda for Modi’s France Visit:

  • Co-chairing the AI Action Summit with President Macron.
  • Bilateral talks to review progress on the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for the India-France strategic partnership.
  • Addressing business leaders at the India-France CEO Forum.
  • Inauguration of the Consulate General of India in Marseille.
  • Tribute at the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille, honoring Indian soldiers of World War I.

This marks PM Modi’s sixth visit to France, further strengthening India-France relations.
