January 3, 2025: New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a series of development projects in Delhi, including 1,675 newly constructed flats for JJ cluster residents, two urban redevelopment projects, and multiple educational infrastructure initiatives on Friday. These measures aim to improve the ‘Ease of Living’ for Delhi’s residents while laying the foundation for future generations.

- Affordable Housing Initiative:
- PM Modi inaugurated 1,675 newly constructed flats at Swabhiman Apartments, Ashok Vihar under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
- The initiative ensures better living conditions, with beneficiaries contributing a nominal amount of ₹1.42 lakh and ₹30,000 for five years of maintenance.
- World Trade Centre (WTC) at Nauroji Nagar:
- The WTC replaces over 600 dilapidated quarters with state-of-the-art commercial towers offering 34 lakh sq ft of premium commercial space with advanced amenities.
- Sustainable features include zero-discharge systems, solar energy generation, and rainwater harvesting.
- GPRA Residential Quarters at Sarojini Nagar:
- Comprising 28 towers with over 2,500 residential units, these quarters provide modern amenities and incorporate rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment plants, and solar-powered waste compactors.
- CBSE Integrated Office Complex at Dwarka:
- Constructed at ₹300 crore, this eco-friendly facility features advanced data centres, an auditorium, and water management systems adhering to IGBC Platinum Rating standards.
- Educational Projects Worth ₹600 Crore:
- PM Modi laid the foundation stone for Delhi University’s Eastern Campus at Surajmal Vihar, Western Campus at Dwarka, and Veer Savarkar College at Roshanpura, Najafgarh.
- These facilities will provide state-of-the-art education infrastructure and advanced learning resources.
