A 4.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Delhi and surrounding areas early this morning, triggering strong tremors and causing residents of high-rise buildings in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad to rush out in panic.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to stay calm and assured that officials are closely monitoring the situation.
“We are keeping a close watch on the developments. Stay calm and follow safety precautions,” PM Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter).

So far, no reports of casualties or injuries have emerged. However, some residents reported hearing a loud sound when the earthquake struck.
