Noida parents accuse FIITJEE of abrupt closure; ₹60 lakh identified in one account as investigation intensifies.
February 4, 2025: Noida: In a significant development, Noida police are set to seize 384 private bank accounts linked to the prominent coaching institute FIITJEE after parents lodged complaints against its Sector 62 centre. The complaints allege that the centre shut down abruptly on January 22 without prior notice, leaving students and parents in distress.
A case of criminal conspiracy and breach of trust has been filed under Sections 316 and 61 of the Indian Penal Code against nine individuals, including FIITJEE founder Dinesh Kumar Goyal, at the Sector 58 police station.

Details of the Investigation:
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ram Badan Singh revealed, “Over the past 10 days, we identified 384 bank accounts linked to FIITJEE where parents were transferring fees. These accounts, primarily in three private banks, are now in the process of being seized. ₹60 lakh has been identified in one of these accounts, and further investigations are ongoing.”
Station House Officer (SHO) Amit Kumar added that more than 350 parents have approached the police since January 24. “The FIITJEE administration assured us they would resume classes within a week, as they have done at their Delhi centres. This assurance was also communicated to parents via email,” Kumar said.
Parents’ Outcry and Call for Regulation:
Parents are demanding stricter government regulations for private coaching centres to prevent such incidents. Sanjay Pandey, a parent and senior official at the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), shared his ordeal: “I enrolled my son in FIITJEE’s IIT-JEE course for ₹4.40 lakh and paid ₹3.90 lakh in instalments. Despite this, the centre abruptly shut down, affecting my son’s education. The government must regulate these centres to safeguard parents’ hard-earned money and students’ futures.”
Legal Actions:
Police have issued notices to the FIITJEE founder and other suspects, including Noida director Ramesh Batlish and staff members Monila Goel, Partha Halder, Sadhu Ram Bansal, Rushtam Dinshaw Batliwala, Shashikant Dubey, Mohit Sardana, and Aanad Raman P.
The Noida centre remains non-operational as the investigation unfolds.
