Prayagraj Mela Grounds After Maha Kumbh 2025-See How They Look Now

🕉️ Maha Kumbh 2025 Ends, Prayagraj Prepares for Restoration

📅 Updated: March 2, 2025: After hosting 66 crore devotees over 45 days, the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj has officially concluded. Now, the Uttar Pradesh government has launched a 15-day special cleanliness drive to restore the Mela grounds and ensure continued sanitation across the region.

🚮 Key Highlights of the Cleanup Drive:
15,000 sanitation workers and 2,000 Ganga Sewa Doots deployed
Temporary toilets (1.5 lakh) to be dismantled and removed


Waste processed at Baswar plant in Naini
Sangam ghats, roads, and Mela infrastructure under cleanup

🏆 Honoring Sanitation Workers

📌 Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who emphasized a clean and divine Maha Kumbh, has honored sanitation workers for their service during the religious event. He directed officials to ensure Prayagraj remains clean for post-Mela visitors.

🌿 Additionally, the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation is focusing on:

  • Enhancing greenery in and around the city

🚛 Uttar Pradesh Fire Department’s Unique Initiative

🔥 The UP Fire Department has launched a special drive to distribute holy Sangam water to all 75 districts of the state. This initiative allows devotees who couldn’t attend the Kumbh to receive a sacred part of the event.

  • Held once every 12 years, this was the largest religious gathering in the world
  • Grand processions of Naga Sadhus and three ‘Amrit Snans’ took place

  • Themed ‘Bhavya, Divya, Surakshit Maha Kumbh’, highlighting grandeur, spirituality, and safety
