Leaders pay tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Maharashtra
February 21, 2026: Shiv Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, in Maharashtra. The historic fort witnessed cultural programmes, traditional rituals and patriotic tributes honouring the legendary Maratha warrior king, revered as a symbol of courage and pride for the state and the nation.
Several prominent leaders attended the commemorative event, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, senior leader Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar. They offered floral tributes and participated in ceremonies organised to mark the birth anniversary of the iconic ruler.
