Senior leader admitted after uneasiness, doctors say no immediate concern

March 25, 2026: Veteran Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital late Tuesday night after feeling unwell. Hospital authorities said she was brought in around 10:22 pm, and preliminary assessments suggest a possible stomach or urinary tract infection. Doctors confirmed that she is stable and under close medical supervision.

According to hospital chairman Ajay Swaroop, a team of specialists is monitoring her condition and conducting further tests to confirm the exact cause of the infection. She has been administered antibiotics as part of the treatment, and her health is being closely observed.

Sources indicated that the admission was precautionary, possibly triggered by uneasiness linked to changing weather conditions. Doctors have assured that there is no immediate cause for concern, and further decisions on treatment will be taken after reviewing detailed test reports.
