On Sunday, while Ratanji and his colleague Jikuji Parmar were working at a construction site, Sanjay and Jayesh allegedly ambushed him. Armed with a rod and knife, Jayesh struck Ratanji on the head, causing him to fall, after which Sanjay stabbed him repeatedly.
The FIR shockingly describes how Sanjay disemboweled Ratanji, flinging his intestines into the air before mutilating his internal organs. Despite attempts by laborers and onlookers to intervene, the brothers threatened them with their blood-soaked weapons before escaping on a motorcycle.
Inspector Unnati Patel of Kalol taluka police confirmed that the accused were tracked using their mobile phone locations and arrested the same day. Both brothers have been charged with murder and abetment.
The gruesome nature of the crime has left the local community shaken, sparking discussions about honor, family dynamics, and unresolved resentment.
