Patton urged the new state president and his team to continue focusing on strengthening the party from the grassroots to the top level.

The Patton further acknowledged that “the central leaders headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP alliance partner in Nagaland under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu have brought about many changes and developments in the state” and called upon the party functionaries to maintain cordial relationships with the alliance party as well.

After taking charge as the new Nagaland State BJP President, Benjamin Yepthomi said that he was elated and, at the same time, knew that a lot of responsibilities were on his way.
Stating that the Bharatiya Janata  Party is focused on the grassroot level, Yepthomi said, “The party is growing in all the districts, mandals, etc.,” and added, “Nagaland will witness a new era.”

“Today, many want recognition, but recognition is given to the worker who stands by the party’s principles and works hard in spite of all the difficulties,” he said.

“Benjamin Yepthomi is taking over as the party president from today onwards, and I know he’ll do better than me, and I know that he’ll communicate better than me; he has the calibre to take the BJP to greater heights in Nagaland,” he said.
