Himachal Pradesh: 5 Dead, Over 20 Injured as Bus Plunges into Mandi Gorge
July 24, 2025: Himachal Pradesh – A bus from the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) went off the road and into a steep gorge close to the Maseran region in the Sarkaghat Sub-Division in Mandi district. At least five people have died and nearly 20 more have been hurt. There was an accident this morning on the Sarkaghat-Jamni-Durgapur road, which is around 60 kilometers from Mandi town.
Reports said that the bus, which had roughly 30 to 35 people on board, rolled a long way after it slipped off the road near Maseran Talgara. Three of the dead people are women.
The hospital in Sarkaghat took care of all of the hurt passengers right away. Some persons are claimed to be in serious or critical condition, and some have been transported to AIIMS, Bilaspur, for better medical care.
The police, the local administration, and the people are all working hard to save the victims and help them get out of the tough area. There hasn’t been an official decision yet on what caused the tragedy, but investigations are still going on. Sources claim that the severe weather and bad roads may have caused the collision. High-ranking road officials and other district-level officers have promptly arrived at the site of the crash.
