
Over 46 Lakh Pilgrims Visited Char Dham So Far This Year: Uttarakhand CM Dhami
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India] : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday said that over 46 lakh devotees embarked on Char Dham Yatra, which comprises the four holy shrines of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, so far this year.
The state Chief Minister said that the double-engine government in Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has made special arrangements for the convenience of the pilgrims in Char Dham.
The Chief Minister said that so far this year, more than 46 lakh devotees have visited Chardham, while about 1 month more is left for the yatra.
He said that with the promotion of religious tourism, the livelihood of the local people has also increased and employment generation has gained new dimensions.
