
“Surrender or Perish”: 10,000 Troops Launch India’s Largest Anti-Maoist Operation
In the forested tri-junction of Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, India has launched its biggest-ever anti-Maoist operation, encircling the Maoist stronghold of Karregatta, Nadpalli, and Pujari Kanker with 10,000 elite commandos. Described by the security forces as a “decisive campaign”, the scale and intensity signal a dramatic escalation in India’s long fight against Left-Wing Extremism.

Maoist strongholds are now under siege. Forces from Telangana’s Greyhounds, Chhattisgarh’s DRG, and Maharashtra’s C-60 commandos have created an impenetrable perimeter. Top Maoist leaders like Hidma, Damodar, Deva, and Vikas are believed to be trapped along with hundreds of cadres. Surveillance drones hum above as helicopters drop reinforcements. Escape is no longer an option.

“This is the deadliest chase of the decade. The only choices are surrender or perish,” said a senior CRPF official.
“Every rock could be a trap, every tree a sniper’s perch,” said Bastar IG Sundarraj P.
