Security has been tightened at the Haryana-Punjab Shambhu Border as police launched an early morning operation on Thursday, dismantling concrete barricades and clearing protest sites.

🚨 Bulldozers were deployed by Haryana Police to remove the roadblocks, intensifying tensions between farmers and the authorities.

On Wednesday evening, Punjab Police removed farmers from their protest site, signaling a shift in the state’s approach to the long-standing demonstrations over various demands.


🗣️ No Force Used, Says Punjab Police

📢 “Farmers cooperated well and left voluntarily,” claimed Patiala SSP Nanak Singh after overseeing the eviction.

🔹 The police ensured that no force was used, and farmers were transported back home by bus after proper warnings.


🚨 Farmer Leaders Detained—Tikait, Channi, and BJP Leaders React

Several key farmer leaders, including Jagjit Singh Dallewal and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha leader Sarvan Singh Pandher, were detained.

💬 BKU Leader Rakesh Tikait strongly condemned the crackdown:
📢 “On one hand, the government is negotiating, and on the other, it is arresting farmers. We are ready for every struggle.”

💬 Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi accused the government of betrayal:
📢 “Farmers were attacked from behind and deceived. The road was blocked by the government, not the farmers. They just want to reach Delhi.”

💬 BJP Leader Fatehjung Singh Bajwa slammed Punjab’s AAP government:
📢 “AAP played politics with farmers. They detained leaders like Dallewal and Pandher for their own political gains.”

🚧 Punjab Minister Harpal Singh Cheema justified the crackdown, saying the borders needed to be reopened for economic activity.
