UGC NET June Result 2025 Date: How and When to Check Your Scorecard

July 17, 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the UGC NET June result 2025 will be declared on July 22, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in once the results are published.

The UGC NET exam for the June cycle was conducted between June 25 and June 29, 2025. Following the exam, the provisional answer key was released on July 5, and candidates had the opportunity to raise objections between July 6 and July 8, 2025.

Eligibility and Cut-off Criteria

To qualify in the UGC NET exam, candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The cut-off marks are set to determine eligibility for the prestigious positions of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor.

Only 6% of candidates appearing in both papers, based on their Master’s degree or equivalent, will qualify for Assistant Professor eligibility.

Reservation Policy

The NTA has reaffirmed the reservation policy in accordance with Government norms for candidates appearing for UGC NET:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer: 27%
  • General-Economically Weaker Sections (General-EWS): 10%
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) with 40% or more disability: 5% (across the above categories)

Validity of UGC NET Certificate

  • The JRF certificate awarded to qualified candidates is valid for 3 years.
  • The certificate for the post of Assistant Professor/Lectureship is valid for life.
