UIDAI Extends Free Aadhaar Document Update Facility — New Deadline Announced!

June 17, 2025: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline for free online Aadhaar updates to June 14, 2026. This extension allows residents to update their Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) on the myAadhaar portal at no cost.

  • Update Method: Exclusively through the myAadhaar portal

How to Update Your Aadhaar Details Online:

  1. Visit the myAadhaar portal
  2. Log in using your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number
  3. Navigate to the “Update Demographics Data” section
  4. Select the details you wish to update and upload the necessary documents
  5. Submit the request and note the Update Request Number (URN) for tracking

This extension provides ample time for individuals, especially those who have not updated their Aadhaar details in over a decade, to ensure their information is current. Accurate Aadhaar data is essential for seamless access to various government services and benefits.
