Five senior officials penalized as Chief Minister stresses accountability, transparency, and sensitivity in governance.

Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 25: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sent out a strong message on accountability and discipline within the state administration. During his recent visit to Gorakhpur, five officers who failed to attend a crucial review meeting chaired by him faced strict action, according to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

Divisional Commissioner Anil Dhingra took immediate disciplinary measures—stopping one day’s salary of the erring officers and recommending departmental action against them. The officials who were absent include the Project Managers of C&DS Units 14, 19, and 42, the Executive Engineer of Uttar Pradesh Rajya Nirman Sahakari Sangh (UPRNSS)-I, and the Principal of BRD Medical College.

The action underscores CM Yogi’s insistence on commitment and presence during state-level governance reviews, particularly at a time when developmental projects and public grievances demand constant monitoring.

Earlier, the Chief Minister also attended a Janata Darshan on Sunday morning after staying overnight at the Gorakhnath temple. True to his people-first approach, he personally met nearly 200 individuals outside the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan, patiently listening to their grievances.

“There must be no delay in resolving public issues. Every solution should be qualitative, transparent, and satisfactory. The government is committed to addressing every concern of the people,” CM Yogi emphasized during the interaction.

From financial aid requests for medical treatment to land disputes, the Chief Minister assured citizens of full government support. He directed concerned officials to prepare treatment cost estimates without delay and forward them promptly to the government for approval.

He also issued a stern warning against land encroachers and those exploiting the poor, instructing officials to adopt a sensitive approach in assisting victims while taking strict legal action against wrongdoers. His message was clear—neither negligence from officials nor injustice against the weak would be tolerated.

This blend of strict administrative discipline and sensitivity toward citizen concerns reflects CM Yogi Adityanath’s continued effort to create a governance model rooted in efficiency, accountability, and compassion.
