Updated Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 L With ADAS Priced At Rs 21.35 lakh, Also Gets A New Z8 T Variant At Rs 20.29 Lakh

June 28, 2025: Mahindra and Mahindra has upgraded its popular Scorpio-N SUV with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), boosting safety and convenience for drivers. Alongside this, the company has launched a new mid-level Z8T variant, priced from ₹20.29 lakh (ex-showroom), expanding the Scorpio-N lineup.

Celebrating three successful years and over 2.5 lakh customers, Mahindra’s Scorpio-N now offers the Level 2 ADAS suite exclusively in the top-spec Z8L variant. The advanced safety package includes Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Smart Pilot Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and High Beam Assist. These features aim to enhance driver awareness and reduce accident risks, especially on highways and during city commutes.

In addition to the ADAS, Mahindra introduced two new Intelligent Cruise Enhancement (ICE) features — Speed Limit Assist and Front Vehicle Start Alert. Speed Limit Assist alerts drivers when exceeding posted speed limits and can adjust cruise control accordingly, while Front Vehicle Start Alert notifies drivers when the vehicle ahead begins moving, improving responsiveness in traffic conditions.

The new Z8T variant sits between the Z8 and Z8L trims, offering premium features such as 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a 12-speaker Sony audio system, front camera, front parking sensors, a 6-way powered driver seat, electronic parking brake, ventilated front seats, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. This variant delivers an appealing package for buyers seeking luxury without stepping into the top-tier model.

Pricing for the Z8T starts at ₹20.29 lakh for the petrol manual version, rising to ₹24.36 lakh for the diesel 4WD automatic variant. The ADAS-equipped Z8L trim is priced between ₹21.35 lakh and ₹25.42 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on powertrain and drivetrain options.

Under the hood, the Scorpio-N continues with its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. The turbo-petrol delivers 200 bhp and up to 380 Nm of torque with the automatic gearbox. The diesel options offer 172.4 bhp with up to 400 Nm torque and a lower-spec 130 bhp diesel version remains available with a manual gearbox.

With this update, Mahindra aims to strengthen Scorpio-N’s position as a technologically advanced, safe, and premium SUV option in its segment.
