Police detain suspects after bulldozer action sparks unrest in Old Delhi
January 8, 2026: A major law and order situation broke out in Old Delhi’s Turkmen Gate area after a bulldozer action triggered protests and violence. Stone pelting and vandalism were reported prompting swift intervention by Delhi Police to bring the situation under control.
