July 12, 2025: The Supreme Court has intervened to grant relief to a NEET PG 2024 student who was denied admission despite having paid the requisite fees. The court directed the concerned medical college to permit the student to attend classes, ensuring that the student’s academic progression is not hindered. This decision underscores the judiciary’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of medical aspirants and ensuring transparency in the admission process.
The NEET PG 2025 examination, initially scheduled for June 15, has been postponed to August 3, 2025. The Supreme Court granted this extension to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) after the board cited logistical challenges in conducting the exam in a single shift. The exam will now be held from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on August 3, 2025, in a single shift, as per the court’s directive.
Candidates are advised to utilize the correction window to update their exam city preferences, as the single-shift format may limit the availability of preferred centers.
