“Willpower of 140 Crore Indians Will Crush Terrorism”: PM Modi Vows Justice for Pahalgam Victims

Prime Minister expresses anguish over Pahalgam terror attack, announces stern action against perpetrators and unveils ₹13,480 crore development projects in Bihar on National Panchayati Raj Day

Madhubani (Bihar), April 24:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, and vowed that India will track, punish, and dismantle every terror network responsible.

“The willpower of 140 crore Indians will now break the back of the perpetrators of terror,” said PM Modi, addressing a rally in Madhubani, Bihar, on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day.

He called the Pahalgam attack a national tragedy, expressing solidarity with grieving families across linguistic and regional lines—mentioning victims from Bihar, Gujarat, Bengal, Odisha, Karnataka, Maharashtra and others.


🇮🇳 “India Will Hunt Down Terrorists to the Ends of the Earth”

From the stage in Bihar, the Prime Minister sent out a stern message:

“Terrorism will not go unpunished. The attackers and those who planned this heinous act will be crushed with an iron hand. This is our resolve.”

He also thanked global leaders for extending their support and solidarity in the aftermath of the massacre.


🏗️ Development Push: ₹13,480 Crore Projects Unveiled in Bihar

In addition to addressing national security concerns, PM Modi launched multiple development initiatives:

  • Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth ₹13,480 crore
  • Emphasised Bihar’s role in a developed India
  • Highlighted new medical colleges, AIIMS Darbhanga, and over 1.5 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs
  • Announced the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Patna and Jaynagar
  • Stressed on women’s empowerment through Jeevika Didis, with ₹1,000 crore in fresh support
  • Declared ₹11,000 crore investment in flood-control projects across rivers like Kosi, Bagmati, Budhi Gandak

💬 “Strong Villages, Strong Nation”: Digital & Panchayat Reforms

PM Modi emphasised:

  • Over 2 lakh Gram Panchayats connected to the internet
  • Construction of 30,000 new Panchayat Bhawans
  • ₹2 lakh crore direct support to Panchayats in the last decade
  • Access to birth, death, and land records through digital governance

📢 Moment of Silence for Pahalgam Victims

In a deeply emotional appeal, PM Modi asked the gathering to observe a moment of silence for the victims of the Pahalgam attack, saying their sacrifice will not be in vain.

“India’s fight is not just against terrorists, but against those who support and justify them,” he declared.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Bihar marked a dual message of unwavering resolve on national security and accelerated development for rural India.
