December 20, 2024: New Delhi: The Winter Session of Parliament wraps up today after four weeks of heated debates, frequent disruptions, and escalating tensions between the Treasury and Opposition benches. The session culminates with fresh protests expected, as Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi now faces a police case linked to an altercation that left two BJP MPs injured.

    The government plans to introduce the ‘One Nation, One Election’ bill, which proposes forming a Joint Parliamentary Committee of 39 MPs (27 from Lok Sabha and 12 from Rajya Sabha).
  2. Police Case Against Rahul Gandhi:
    The BJP filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi over an incident during protests at Parliament’s Makar Dwar. BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput sustained injuries and are currently hospitalized.
