The case stemmed from a 2018 complaint filed by a woman at Zirakpur police station, alleging that Singh lured her with promises of taking her abroad, raped her at his residence in Sector 63, Mohali, recorded the act, and threatened to release the video if she didn’t comply with his demands.

Earlier this year, Singh found himself in more legal trouble after a CCTV video of him slapping a woman surfaced online. The video, dated February 14, showed him hurling papers and physically assaulting a woman, prompting Mohali Police to book him for assault.

On February 28, a 22-year-old woman filed a sexual harassment complaint, accusing Singh of sending inappropriate messages and making unwanted advances. A Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by SP Rupinder Kaur, is probing the allegations.

Singh, who became a preacher in 2012, runs The Church of Glory and Wisdom in Tajpur (Jalandhar) and Majri (Mohali). His sermons, often themed around miraculous healing, attract large crowds and are broadcast live to 3.74 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
