“Neither The BCCI Nor Me..” : Mohammed Shami Dismisses Rumours Of Being Out Of Border-Gavaskar Series

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has firmly refuted rumors suggesting he would be excluded from the upcoming Border-Gavaskar series.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Shami expressed his frustration over the “baseless rumors” and clarified, “I’m working hard and trying my level best to recover. Neither the BCCI nor I have mentioned that I am out of the Border Gavaskar series.” He urged the public to stop paying attention to such misinformation and to refrain from spreading what he called “fake fake fake & fake news,” especially without any official statement from him.

Shami is making significant progress in his recovery from an ankle injury sustained last year, which has kept him out of competitive cricket since the ODI World Cup. He has resumed bowling and is gradually increasing his workload without experiencing pain. His statement comes as a reassurance to fans and the cricketing community regarding his commitment to recovery and intention to participate in the prestigious series.

The Border-Gavaskar series against Australia is set to commence on November 22, featuring a total of five Test matches, with exciting venues including Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.
