After Ceasefire, India and Pakistan Top Military Officials to Meet on May 12

Following US-brokered ceasefire, DGMOs of both nations to reconvene for further dialogue

🗓️ May 10, 2025 | In a significant step toward de-escalation after days of cross-border hostilities, India and Pakistan have agreed that their Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) will hold a formal follow-up meeting on May 12.

This comes hours after both countries agreed to a full ceasefire on land, air, and sea — a breakthrough achieved with mediation by the United States and publicly confirmed by both nations.

The meeting on May 12 at 12 noon IST, as per diplomatic sources, will focus on stabilising the Line of Control, preventing further provocations, and establishing protocols to avoid miscommunication between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
