Disney and Paramount Pledge Support Amid Los Angeles Wildfires

Entertainment giants commit millions to aid relief and recovery efforts as devastating wildfires ravage Los Angeles.

Los Angeles [US], January 12: As devastating wildfires continue to ravage Los Angeles, The Walt Disney Company and Paramount Global have announced significant financial contributions to support relief and recovery efforts.

Disney’s $15 Million Pledge

The Walt Disney Company has committed $15 million to aid organizations providing on-ground support. The funds will be directed toward groups such as the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to bolster immediate response and rebuilding initiatives.

“As this tragedy continues to unfold, The Walt Disney Company is committed to supporting our community and our employees as we all work together to recover and rebuild from this unbelievable devastation,” said Disney CEO Bob Iger in a statement.

Iger emphasized Disney’s deep-rooted connection to Los Angeles, noting that it was where Walt Disney began pursuing his dreams, creating stories that resonate globally. “We are proud to provide assistance to this resilient and vibrant community in this moment of need,” Iger added.


Paramount’s $1 Million Donation

Paramount Global joined the relief efforts with a $1 million contribution. In a memo to employees, co-chiefs Brian Robbins, Chris McCarthy, and George Cheeks outlined their commitment to organizations such as the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, Red Cross, Direct Relief, World Central Kitchen, and Best Friends Animal Society.

“Our thoughts are with the communities affected, and we remain committed to supporting recovery efforts in every way we can,” the Paramount leaders wrote.


A United Front for Recovery

The combined efforts of Disney and Paramount reflect a larger trend of corporate responsibility as major organizations step forward to aid disaster-stricken communities. With these significant contributions, both companies aim to support not only relief efforts but also long-term rebuilding, underscoring their commitment to the people and the city of Los Angeles during this challenging time.
