January 23, 2025: Donald Trump Criticizes TikTok, Democrats, and Biden’s Policies in His First Interview as 47th President

Trump questioned whether TikTok represents a significant threat due to its ties to China. “Is it that important for China to be spying on young kids watching crazy videos? They make your computers, and your telephones, and other things. Isn’t that a bigger threat?” the President remarked, signaling a possible revisit of his earlier stance on banning TikTok.

During the interview, Trump pledged to release classified documents related to John F. Kennedy’s assassination. “I’m gonna release the JFK files immediately after I see them,” he said. Trump also hinted that former CIA Director Mike Pompeo had previously advised him against releasing these files, suggesting there might be hidden truths.

Reflecting on an assassination attempt at one of his rallies, Trump said, “Statistically, I should never be here. If I don’t turn my head… it was 1/8th of an inch.” When asked if the incident increased his faith in God, Trump affirmed, “Yes, I think so.”
Trump took a dig at the Democrats, criticizing their policies. “People are learning that Democrats can’t govern, and their policies are terrible. They don’t want to see a woman get pummeled by a man in a boxing ring… they don’t want a child to leave home as a boy and come back two days later as a girl.” He argued that these policies don’t align with common sense.
The President also expressed frustration with FEMA’s handling of disaster relief efforts, particularly in North Carolina. “FEMA is getting in the way of everything… those people were treated very badly,” he said. Trump announced plans to visit North Carolina on Friday, promising to address these issues, followed by a trip to California.
Trump criticized the Biden administration’s immigration policies, claiming, “Prisons from all over the world have been emptied out into our country by Biden.” He added, “I believe the number is 21 million people, and a large percentage of them are criminals.”
When asked about his return to the White House, Trump reflected on the historic nature of his presidency. “It showed us that the radical left, their philosophies and policies, are horrible. They don’t work,” he said.
The interview marked the beginning of Trump’s second term, with a renewed focus on reversing Biden-era policies and addressing key issues such as national security, immigration, and economic reforms.
With his trademark strongman persona, Trump emphasized his commitment to making America “great again,” while taking aim at his political rivals and their policies.
The conversation has sparked debates across political lines, hinting at a turbulent yet transformative term under Trump’s renewed leadership.
