In Kurta Pyjamas and Anarkali, JD Vance’s Children Charm Delhi on First India Visit
New Delhi, April 21, 2025 —
US Vice President JD Vance, on his maiden official visit to India, arrived in Delhi on Monday morning, accompanied by his wife Usha Vance and their three children. In a touching display of cultural appreciation, the Vance children were seen in ethnic Indian attire as they stepped off the aircraft at Delhi’s Palam Technical Airport.
Sons Ewan and Blake Vance wore kurta pyjamas, while their daughter Mirabel, just three years old, was dressed adorably in an anarkali suit. The family was warmly welcomed by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and received a tri-services ceremonial guard of honour.
Photos shared from the tarmac showed a tender moment as Ewan, dressed in a blue kurta, greeted his father with a hug. He was followed by younger brother Blake, in a cheerful yellow kurta. Little Mirabel was guided carefully down the aircraft steps by staff, after which Mr Vance scooped her up in his arms before meeting Mr Vaishnaw.
