The Indian Army released an official statement along with video evidence, confirming the early morning engagement around 5 AM and calling Pakistan’s actions “unacceptable”.

“Pakistan’s blatant escalation with drone strikes and other munitions continues along our western borders. In one such incident, today at approximately 5 AM, multiple enemy armed drones were spotted flying over Khasa Cantt, Amritsar. The hostile drones were instantly engaged and destroyed by our air defence units,” the statement read.

Indian defence forces have been on heightened alert since the launch of Operation Sindoor, a precision strike operation by India that targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.

Reaffirming its commitment to protecting Indian sovereignty and civilian lives, the Army added:

“Pakistan’s attempt to violate India’s sovereignty and endanger civilians is unacceptable. We remain vigilant and ready to thwart every enemy design.”

This comes just hours after reports of blackouts, artillery shelling, and drone intrusions across Jammu, Punjab, and Rajasthan, as India continues to repel multiple waves of unprovoked aerial aggression from Pakistan.
