Israeli Airstrikes Target Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon

Tel Aviv [Israel], October 26, 2024: The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) conducted a series of airstrikes on over 200 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and continued ground raids against Hamas in northern Gaza. Among the key targets was Abbas Adnan Moslem, a commander in Hezbollah’s Radwan unit, responsible for numerous attacks on northern Israel.

IDF troops also intercepted a Hezbollah squad attempting an ambush, dismantling a loaded Kornet missile launcher. Meanwhile, in Gaza’s Jabaliya, Israeli forces eliminated dozens of Hamas militants, confiscated weapons, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure. Additional raids in central and southern Gaza saw further disruptions to Hamas operations.

Following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, which resulted in 1,200 casualties and 252 hostages, Hezbollah has continuously launched rockets and drones at northern Israeli communities. Over 68,000 residents remain displaced. Despite the ceasefire mandates of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, Hezbollah has intensified its activities, maintaining daily assaults. The ongoing conflict highlights escalating tensions, with both groups persisting in aggressive tactics.
