Putin Open to 30-Day Ukraine Ceasefire but Raises "Nuances"; Trump Calls It "Promising"
March 14, 2025: In a major development in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his willingness to discuss a 30-day ceasefire proposal, which Ukraine has already agreed to in talks with the United States. Putin emphasized that any cessation of hostilities must lead to a “long-term peace” rather than a temporary pause, adding that it must address the “root causes of the crisis”.
