
Smriti Mandhana Nears Top Spot in ICC Women’s T20I and ODI Rankings
Abu Dhabi [UAE], December 25: India opener Smriti Mandhana is on the brink of creating history as she moves to the second spot in both the ICC Women’s T20I and ODI batter rankings following her exceptional performances against West Indies.

In the T20I batter rankings, Mandhana’s rating of 753 places her just behind Australia’s Beth Mooney (757). In the ODI rankings, her impressive 739 rating puts her right behind South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt (773).
Mandhana’s dominance with the bat was evident in her recent performances, where she scored 62 (41) and 77 (47) in the T20I series, followed by a solid 91 (102) in the opening ODI match in Vadodara.
West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews also showcased her talent, scoring 85 (47)* and 22 (17) in the T20I series. Her consistent performances saw her move to a joint-third spot alongside Tahlia McGrath in the T20I batter rankings.
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur climbed to equal-tenth place in the ODI batter rankings after her valuable knock of 34 runs in the first ODI.
Australia’s Alyssa Healy climbed to eighth place in the ODI rankings with scores of 39 and 34. Meanwhile, Annabel Sutherland made a remarkable leap, jumping 11 places to 18th in the ODI batter rankings after scores of 105 and 42*.
Sutherland also moved up to 7th place in the ODI all-rounder rankings, surpassing Sophie Devine and Chamari Athapaththu.
In the bowling department, Alana King climbed to 12th, Kim Garth advanced to 13th, and Sutherland rose to 17th in the ODI bowler rankings.
India’s Renuka Singh, who delivered an impressive 5/29 in Vadodara, surged six places to 20th in the ODI bowler rankings.
As India continues to dominate against West Indies, Smriti Mandhana stands just a few points away from claiming the top spot in both T20I and ODI rankings—a rare and prestigious achievement.
