Former U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday expressed renewed optimism that Russia and Ukraine could finalize a peace agreement this week to end their long-running conflict. Taking to Truth Social, Trump suggested that once peace is achieved, both nations would have an opportunity to engage in significant business with the United States, which he described as “thriving.”
“Hopefully Russia and Ukraine will make a deal this week. Both will then start to do big business with the United States of America, which is thriving, and make a fortune,” Trump posted.
