Trump Vows to Restore 'American Dream,' Criticizes Harris and Biden

Pennsylvania [US], November 4, 2024: Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump promised to revive the "American Dream" in a spirited campaign rally in Lititz, Pennsylvania, just days before the 2024 US Presidential Election. Taking direct aim at his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump asserted that Harris had “broken” the dream, and pledged, “we’re going to fix it fast.”

“I have come today with a message of hope for all Americans; with your vote on Tuesday, I will end inflation,” Trump stated, touching on an issue that has gripped Americans amid economic challenges. “I will stop the invasion of massive numbers of criminals coming into our country. Thank you very much, Kamala and Joe. I will bring back the American dream, and we’ll bring it back stronger than ever before. Kamala broke it, and we will fix it and we’re going to fix it fast,” he said.

Trump also painted a grand vision for the country under his leadership, promising a United States that would be “bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer, and stronger than ever before.” He positioned the election as a choice between what he described as the current administration's “incompetence and failure” and what he claimed would be transformative success if he returns to the White House.

In a direct challenge to the current administration, Trump questioned President Joe Biden’s visibility, criticizing Biden’s low profile in the campaign's final days. "Nobody knows where the other guy is. Where the hell is he? Where is Biden?” Trump asked, adding, “They call me a threat to democracy. They stole the election from this guy. They walked in; they said, ‘Get out of here, Joe. You’re dead. You have to tell Kamala that you’ve had enough. You’re the worst ever. Kamala, you’re fired. Get the hell out of here.’”

The US Presidential Election, set for November 5, pits Trump, who is campaigning for a return to the White House after his controversial exit, against Harris, who is striving to become the first female president in US history. With the polls showing a tight race, a recent survey by the New York Times and Siena College placed Trump and Harris tied at 48 percent in the popular vote, underscoring the intensity of a race that could go down to the wire.
