Trump’s Leadership Brings Ukraine-Russia Ceasefire Closer, Says White House

“We’ve Never Been This Close to Peace”—Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt

White House Confirms Intelligence Sharing with Ukraine Will Continue Amid Ceasefire Talks

🕊️ A Ceasefire Within Reach?

The Russia-Ukraine conflict is closer to a ceasefire than ever before, and US President Donald Trump’s leadership is a key factor in this progress, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

📢 “We’ve never been this close to peace, and it is only because of President Trump that we are here,” Leavitt declared during a press briefing on Wednesday.

She emphasized that a partial ceasefire—once thought impossible—is now a reality, thanks to diplomatic efforts led by the US President.

🚨 “Intelligence sharing in terms of defense for Ukraine will continue,” she assured, confirming America’s continued strategic support for Kyiv.

📞 Trump’s Call with Zelenskyy and Putin: The Path to Peace

President Trump’s recent phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy played a crucial role in aligning Ukraine’s stance with ongoing discussions between the US and Russia.

🔹 “Much of the discussion was based on a call made yesterday with President Putin,” Leavitt explained.

🔹 The focus was on balancing the requests and needs of both nations to reach a mutual agreement on ceasefire terms.

🔹 US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz are expected to further detail the key points of the discussion.

⚡ US Special Envoy: ‘A Full Ceasefire Is Now Within Reach’

💬 Tammy Bruce, spokesperson for the US Department of State, echoed the White House’s optimism.

🗣️ “One thing that is clear is that we have never been closer to a full ceasefire.”

🇺🇸 US Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, also confirmed that a comprehensive truce is now just “a short way away.”

📌 Key Agreements Between Trump and Putin:
Energy & Infrastructure Ceasefire
Technical Talks on Black Sea Maritime Ceasefire
Further Negotiations in Saudi Arabia

⚠️ White House Condemns Russian Strikes on Civilians

Despite peace talks, Russia’s continued attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure remain a major concern.

📢 “These attacks are exactly what President Trump is trying to stop,” Bruce stated.

🔺 She reiterated Trump’s firm stance that the “shooting has to stop first” before a full-fledged peace negotiation can take place.

🚨 “There is no military solution to this war. All sides need to move to a ceasefire,” she emphasized.
