The Environment and Protected Areas Authority in Sharjah (EPAA) is making intensive preparations for the 24th edition of the annual Sir Bu Nair Festival, scheduled to begin on May 17.
This year’s festival will feature significant participation from various government institutions in Sharjah, with numerous government and private entities providing support and sponsorship to ensure the event is held at the highest standard.
The two-day festival, known for its unique environmental focus, will include a variety of activities such as tours, sports competitions, workshops, heritage sessions, and an accompanying exhibition. These events aim to showcase the environmental, touristic, and cultural value of the Sir Bu Nair Reserve.
The festival seeks to strengthen the connection of successive generations with their environment and heritage, educate visitors about the importance of adhering to regulatory statutes and guidelines for preserving the island’s ecosystems, and encourage them to engage in activities that protect and preserve its biological diversity.
