US Teen Kills Parents To Fund Plot Against Trump, Say Federal Agents

17-year-old Nikita Casap allegedly murdered his parents to steal money for a plan to assassinate former President Donald Trump and overthrow the US government, according to FBI findings.

Milwaukee | April 14, 2025:
In a chilling case that has gripped the nation, 17-year-old Nikita Casap from Wisconsin has been charged with first-degree murder and multiple federal offenses after allegedly killing his parents to finance a plan to assassinate former President Donald Trump and overthrow the US government.

According to court filings, Casap fatally shot his mother Tatiana Casap and stepfather Donald Mayer in February at their home near Milwaukee, then lived with their decomposing bodies for weeks. Authorities discovered the murders only after a welfare check was requested by relatives on February 28.

A recently unsealed FBI warrant paints a broader and more disturbing picture. Federal investigators allege that Casap authored a manifesto laced with antisemitic rhetoric, praised Adolf Hitler, and plotted to travel to Ukraine after killing Trump. He reportedly stole $14,000 in cash, passports, and the family dog before fleeing. He was later arrested in Kansas.

Federal Charges & Ideological Motives

According to the FBI, Casap shared his plans over TikTok and Telegram, detailing an intent to create “governmental collapse” by eliminating the President and possibly the Vice President. He also purchased a drone and explosives to aid his cause and was allegedly in contact with a Russian-speaking accomplice.

“The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carrying out his plan,” the FBI warrant noted.

Court Proceedings & Defense Response

Casap is being held at the Waukesha County Jail on $1 million bond and is scheduled to enter a plea next month. His public defender, Nicole Ostrowski, has moved to dismiss some charges, arguing insufficient evidence and highlighting Casap’s age and school enrollment.

“He is young, he is still in high school,” she said during a hearing on March 12.

Apart from murder, Casap is also charged with hiding a corpse, theft, and identity fraud. The victims were so badly decomposed that dental records were used for identification.
